1.) A limited edition feature-length documentary

Hi Ed,

I'd like to offer my film as a prize, a limited edition feature-length documentary called FRONTRUNNER.

FRONTRUNNER is the story of one woman's courageous run for President of Afghanistan.
Gloria Steinem said: “Frontrunner is the story of a woman who took the first fragile promise of democracy in Afghanistan, and dared to run for President. Her story is irresistible. Her courage is contagious.”

The viewer will get an unprecedented peek into the life and campaign of the sole woman candidate in Afghanistan's first election.

Afghanistan's fledgling, now failing democracy is back in the news, and this film gives some foreshadowing and insight into the current state of near chaos.

The film has not yet been broadcast in the US. The DVD is available now on our website: www.frontrunnermovie.com, and will be released via IndiePix on January 26, 2010.

Please join our Facebook fan page and/or feel free to email me if you would like to buy a copy for yourself!

All the Best for the Holidays and thank you for all your hard work helping us find work!

2.) One month of counseling of heath and wellness counseling

Dear Ned,

Holiday Greetings!

I posted on JOTW when I was director of marketing and public relations for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. I continue to receive your mailings (at messfan11@aol.com) and am always interested in the content and job listings. Since leaving Ailey last year, I have been doing some freelance marketing/pr for dance companies and arts organizations and also started my own nutrition and wellness company, Bravo! Wellness, LLC. I am in the process of updating my website, bravowellness.com. I practice a holistic approach to well-being and work with busy, high-achievers to help them adopt nourishing habits and realize the work-life balance everyone craves.

I'd like to offer a month of counseling as a prize for your survey participation. I would provide two 30-minute phone consultations within a 30-day period ($300 value) to help a busy communications professional from the JOTW community get on the path to health and wellness (winner would benefit from nutrition advice, proven stress management techniques and non-judgemental support).

I can be reached at jkrizergraber@gmail.com or 917-603-2318.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Warmly,

Jodi Krizer Graber

6.) Original Scottish Country dance in honor of this prizewinner

Ned, I guarantee you, this is a one-of-a-kind prize. I will compose a

Scottish Country dance in honor of this prizewinner and name it after

her/him or the person/event/whatever of their choice – the Ned Lundquist

Reel, or the Jobs of the Week Jig, for example. (And what is Scottish

Country dancing, you ask? A great social dance that dates back to the

17th century, and is still done today all over the world, by all ages,

usually with hot fiddles, with or without bagpipes and generally with

plenty of good Scotch afterwards.) Your dance has the potential to be

done from D.C. to Hong Kong by men in kilts and women in gowns. You will

receive a video of your dance being done by the wild and crazy

University of Maryland student group, or for you in person if you're in

the D.C. area. Immortalized on the dance floor, more than Dancing with

the Stars can hope for.

*** From Gregg Feistman:

Hi Ned,

13.) Gregg Feistman’s new novel, The War Merchants

I’d be happy to offer a signed copy of my novel The War Merchants as a prize for the upcoming JOTW survey. Here’s a synopsis:

Out of the ashes of the Second World War, a former Nazi finance expert and his half-brother, an SS Colonel, use stolen gold and confiscated treasures to implement their vision of the ultimate business model to control the world: economic fascism. In the decades since, a secret cartel of multinational corporations have used it to successfully manipulate world events and pull the strings of governments to start and control local wars around the globe. They maximize profits without the waste and inefficiencies of a world war. Beautiful public relations executive Cassidy Jevon and ace business reporter Michael Kranz stumble upon the Machiavellian scheme. Not knowing who to trust, they must expose the global conspiracy before the next targeted initiative begins: the manipulation and takeover of Russia.
