The Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International consists of over 1,500 campus professionals who design, market, coordinate and plan conferences and special events on the campuses of colleges and universities around the world. Since 1980 ACCED-I has increased the visibility, and enhanced the stature, of the collegiate conference and events profession. The association has a budget of $500,000 and four staff (two full- and two part-time). The Board of Directors is comprised of 11 individuals. The organization has

11 regions each with a Regional Director and a Regional Director-Elect.

ACCED-I is seeking an Executive Director to work with the board on the strategic direction for the organization that will result in an increase in conference attendance as well as in domestic and international membership; manage a talented staff; and increase the awareness of the organization and the benefits it offers members and prospective members.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred); seven to 10 years of progressively responsible experience with forwarding the mission of an association or institution of higher education; extensive volunteer management experience with non-profit boards; the ability to think and plan creatively and strategically; demonstrated successful financial oversight and growth; the ability to create a cohesive, collaborative, and collegial environment with staff ad volunteers; and strong communications and public speaking ability. A CAE, CMP, or CCEP is preferred.
