The Surface Navy Association (SNA) National Symposium will be held January 15-17, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Crystal City, VA.
The association was incorporated in 1985 to promote greater coordination and communication among those in the military, business and academic communities who share a common interest in Naval Surface Warfare and to support the activities of Surface Naval Forces. SNA provides for its members support, programs and activities which enable professional growth, personal satisfaction and camaraderie.

The U.S. Naval Institute will host Defense Forum Washington to bring together military and civilian leaders, policy-makers, and corporate executives to discuss how budget challenges will impact national defense. Opening keynote speaker, Secretary Bill Lynn, former Deputy Secretary of Defense, will address the fiscal cliff in the historical context from the end of WWII and pose three criteria by which military planners must prepare for the future.
Representative J. Randy Forbes (R-VA) and Secretary John Lehman, former Secretary of the Navy, will participate as speakers on a panel discussion to address implications to the military and the other panel will focus on impacts to industry.

Description of Duties:
A Technical Operations Analyst and Scheduler to work with the Government Lead for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Rapid Integration and Acceptance Center (RIAC) at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG) as well as Medium Altitude Endurance (MAE), and Shadow program Product Offices within the UAS Project Office. Serve as the on-site subject manner expert in test planning, integration, and execution of tests and demonstrations for the Rapid Integration and Acceptance Center (RIAC).
This planning will provide the schedule against which the proof that all hardware, personnel, range assets and other requirements are planned for and available on time to execute all activities associated with the RIAC, to include activities at the Joint Technology Center and Dugway Proving Ground (DPG). Assist, as a back-up to the RIAC Dugway Lead and Flight Operations Manager, to coordinate technical aspects of various Army UAS test and acceptance efforts to DPG.
Coordinate with DPG facilities, test range control, safety, airspace, etc., to ensure all technical and facility requirements are properly translated into coordinated action plans.
Requirements for the Position:
A Bachelor’s degree is desired
6 years of related experience in operations and scheduling
Flight operations experience a plus, along with managing test efforts. Writing and Presentation skills supporting Test Planning, Standard Operating Procedures and Milestone Review Presentations;
Strong Communication skills; Expert in MS Project.

The position:
Reports to the Airport Services Manager and assists with daily operations of two USO airport facilities at Ronald Reagan Washington National and Washington Dulles International airports.

Serves as the principal liaison with airport community leadership at both airport locations and represents USO-Metro on topics related to airport operations, including facilities development and maintenance.
