Duties:

The Daily Record’s digital manager should feel equally at home in the editorial and marketing spheres. The idea candidate should be well-versed in editorial best practices and able to generate ideas about ways to improve site traffic, create new content and grow new audiences. Management experience is a plus. The digital manager:
– is responsible for web-related activities surrounding The Daily Record’s signature events, as well as general digital marketing for The Daily Record
– has extensive experience with website management systems (preferably WordPress) and with social media platforms and how they can be used to advance the organization’s mission
– has an understanding of HTML and CSS; basic image editing skills; SEO proficiency; keen news instincts; and solid copy editing skills.

This position is responsible for reaching a personal monthly sales goal, prospecting new accounts, maintaining an active account list, providing excellent customer service and representing The Daily Record in the marketplace. The idea candidate will have 2 to 3 years of sales experience, excellent written and oral communication skills, is detail oriented and able to successfully multi-task throughout the day. This person must have the creativity and drive to exceed his or her sales budget on a regular basis. The sales account manager is responsible for:
– Achieving a monthly sales goals through managing established accounts, growing new business, attending networking events and providing outstanding customer service.

Pirates attacked and fired at a product tanker. Terminal security responded to the incident and the pirates moved away. The vessel sustained damage from gunfire. Crew received minor injuries. Later the vessel returned to Lagos Port safely. View

While at anchor waiting for berthing instructions duty crew on routine patrol noticed a robber lowering ropes into a waiting boat. He ran into the accommodation and informed the duty officer who raised alarm and crew were mustered. When crew approached the stern, the robbers cut off the loose rope and escaped in the boat. Authorities informed. View
157-13 27.07.2013: 1725 LT: 07:05S – 112:39E, Gresik Inner Anchorage, Indonesia.
While at anchor, unidentified persons were spotted at the forecastle paint store entrance. Alarm raised and crew alerted. On approaching the forecastle, the robbers jumped overboard and escaped in a small boat. Ship’s stores stolen.
156-13 27.07.2013: 0305 LT: 29:50N – 032:34E, Suez Anchorage, Egypt.
Robbers boarded a container ship at anchor. Crew spotted one of them and raised the alarm. The robbers escaped and nothing was stolen.
155-13 29.07.2013: 0412 LT: 01:06.3N – 104:10.9E: Tanjung Uban, Indonesia.
Duty AB on board a LPG tanker noticed about eight robbers armed with knives boarding the vessel from the poop deck. Duty Officer was informed, alarm raised. All crew stayed inside the accommodation until police agents arrived and boarded the vessel. Together with police a search was carried out and found no robbers on board and that nothing had been stolen.
154-13 25.07.2013: 0340 LT: 01:18N – 104:41E, Around 8nm NE of Tanjung Berakit, Indonesia.
About six pirates in a speed boat armed with knives boarded a tug towing a barge. They entered crew cabins and took hostage all crew members, tied them up and locked them in a cabin. They then stole crew and ship properties and escaped.
