TMNcorp is seeking a highly motivated summer Research Intern to assist with data reporting and presentation of a national survey for a government client.

 

TMNcorp is a full-service research and communications organization that provides government agencies, corporations, and nonprofits with a broad range of public education campaign tools including marketing, media relations, research and evaluation, and mutli-cultural communication services.

 

Time-frame: Part-time temporary position.  Approximately 10 hours per week for 1-3 months. Possible extension available, if interested.

Responsibilities:

As a Research Intern, you will work closely with the Research Director.  The intern will perform research on one or more projects under the guidance of staff members and also independently, and will be expected to produce memos, reports and written summaries of their research.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support for presentations, research reports, and client projects;
  • Analyzing, tabulating and reporting key findings using Excel and/or SPSS;
  • Assisting in the production and editing of presentations and reports.

 

Qualifications

 

Must exhibit well-developed research, writing and editing skills and have successfully undertaken a major independent research project, or participated in a collaborative research project, that led to a final written report. Ideal candidates will also possess strong skills in SPSS, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel products.

Three suspected robbers boarded an offshore processing ship using a rope and hook. Alert duty A/B raised the alarm resulting in the persons escaping without stealing anything.

 

085-14   21.05.2014: 0200 UTC: Posn: 06:03N – 001:14E, About 4nm South of Lome Port, Togo.

A boat with eight robbers armed with long knives attempted to board a chemical tanker at anchor. Alert deck watch keepers noticed the robbers and raised the alarm and ship’s horn sounded. Seeing alert crew and due to a moderate swell the robbers were unable to board the vessel and moved away.
