Duty crew on routine rounds onboard a bulk carrier underway noticed two unauthorised persons attempting to board. General alarm raised. Hearing the alarm and seeing the crew alertness, the persons escaped without stealing anything. The incident was reported to Singapore VTIS and the ship was escorted to the anchorage by the Singapore coast guard.
