Immortality and Marketing

If you are the author of a book, you gain immortality. So they say. Looking for a way in 2013 to gain immortality and succeed in marketing? Oh, come on, you must keep reading after an intro like that.

I really do know of a way for you to be the author of a book and succeed in marketing yourself or your organization. I’ve helped other people do precisely that. There is no secret to this. Well, maybe one or two carefully obfuscated tactics, but no actual secrets, per se.

What you need is to be published in your own eBook. While I’m convinced we will always have books made of paper, the present and the future of books is already living in the eBook format.

If you get past the b.s. about how everyone can get rich quickly with an eBook, the reality is pretty exciting nonetheless. The financial viability of Amazon is well-known. You can also believe the buzz about eBooks and the device named Kindle. To ignore Amazon and Kindle and eBooks right now is to miss out of an emerging and revolutionary communications channel. This is no exaggeration.

I produced two eBooks for renowned Los Angeles radio programming executives Chuck Blore of KFWB fame and Ron Jacobs of Boss Radio KHJ — — and I am working on a third eBook that is still in development for another radio industry person in Los Angeles.

Why do some people choose to put their faith in eBooks while others do not? The answer my friend is blowing in the wind.
