***  From CM:

Ned, thank you for the job listing again. Can you say why these “non-communications” jobs are included in the list? BTW, I am really happy to see more international relief and development type communications jobs listed in this list. I am just tuning back into the list, on a job hunt with 25 years communications experience, 14 of those in international relief, development and health related humanitarian communications work. Very best to you. Here are the jobs I found somewhat out of place, at the end of your list:

62.) Inspector (Elevators), City of New York Department of Buildings, New York, NY
63.) Grain Elevator Operator, Meyer Bros. Grain, Elk Mound, WI
63.) Elevator Worker, Archer Daniels Midland, Sublette, KS
64.) Business Manager – Entry Level, National Security Agency, Fort George G. Meade, MD
65.) Painter, Benderson Development Company, Inc., Buffalo, NY
66.) Engraving Machine Operator, American Yuncheng Gravure Cylinder Inc., Spartanburg, SC
67.) Silversmith, Tiffany & Co., Cumberland, RI
68.) Plater, Bell Helicopter, Grand Prairie, TX
69.) Carton Gluing Machine Operator, The Xcel Group, Waukegan, IL

(Ned:  The alternative selections are for those people who have had it with communications and want something completely different.  They always run last, and are usually pretty strange jobs.  Call it levity.)

Thanks- I like it. Pretty funny, and makes me remember how much I appreciate the field I’ve chosen, even though even I sometimes daydream about what else I may want to do. 25 years later and I’ve stilll not come up with anything else. :) Thanks again for your efforts putting the list together and distributing it each week. Best, CM
